A fun little job

Helping my friend & expert print account manager/wedding invitation creator extraordinare Melissa with her company, as she's getting it going properly. She designs gorgeous invites, and manages the whole process from concept to design, printing, stock, and even matching table cards, save the dates etc... the whole works! We worked together to come up with a simple, elegant floral logo that says 'weddings' but isn't too over the top. I love it! Average photos sorry... am saving up to get better camera!

Finally, some graphic design!

Did these a while ago, but since I actually went to the wedding (and wow, what a wedding, thanks Soph & Ryan!) here is the invitation I designed for their wedding. Totally love it. The photos don't really do it justice - the paper stock was quite a bit lighter, and the non-printed one doesn't show the nice stock... ah well, you can't win em all. Oh, and Mrs Eaves, you are officially the best font ever (but always with an Adobe Caslon Pro ampersand...)

Men & Rocks

I had the honour of designing Lindsay's limited edition poetry collection cover. He bought a painting by Patrick Hartigan called Smoke and Rocks and we used that as the basis. Nice to do something less commercial than usual.

Jen's Etsy shop The Pretty Little Boutique is opening on June 30th... I designed her shop banner, blog header and still to come, business cards and swing tags. Cute huh?

New business card!

An attempt playing with a real camera (a Nikon D70). I can't believe the difference in image from a standard digi - it's amazing. I get to play for the whole weekend!

Business Card

Business card for my lovely colleague, a photographer. Really simple, keeping the emphasis on her photo. Red reverse side, going with the red theme. Plus Adobe Caslon, one of my all time fave fonts...

My house

Vector illustration for design drawing class.

Kora poster

The reason this was so exciting was because it got used around the country, not just in Dunedin. I can take credit for all of it apart from the bevel on the dude - my boss had a thing for drop shadows, lens flares and bevels.

Fly My Pretties tickets

Re-orientation at Otago was massive and this gig was the best I've ever seen. Held at the old Regent Theatre in Duds, there was a super big crowd, we all dressed up and maybe took some wine in someones handbag *cough* social activities manager! Awesome music and Fly My Pretties' last gig before they disbanded... aw... I loved working for OUSA when we'd get to go to all the gigs we wanted, free stuff, meet musicians and other famous people and generally have the best social life ever.
