Kimono bag

Here's a little bag I made from a Japanese craft book. It's made from recycled kimono silk, the outside is hand-painted! I love the gold on it. It's lined with more silk, has a hand-stitched flower on the zip.

Lovely lovely bag! The colors are so spring-like, right for the hanami ;)

It's beautiful! How did you make that flower on the zipper?

This is amazing. That fabric is to die for!

@Mama Pluis - the flower is a small tube of fabric you gather around the end of the zipper (upside down, right side in), then turn it rightside out, fill it with cotton/stuffing and stitch the edges together in a flower shape. I read about it in a Japanese craft book.
